   Out of the box, there were a LOT of updates, as expected.

   What I like:
   Lot’s of app options. I use activity tracker, nutrition, reminders, alarms, text, phone and some media.

   Fit is good, stays in place on wrist with little movement. Felt a bit heavy at first, but I became accustomed within 2-3 days. Now I don’t notice it.

   Plenty of customizable watch faces. Easy to understand and install.

   Screen clarity is very good.

   Touch screen is also customizable, I was able to adjust presets to better suit my use.

   FYI – Watch will not charge on older power blocks. Make sure your blocks are 2.0.

   What I disliked:
   Battery life is the only serious disappointment. For a watch that recommends wearing at night, I would expect 48 – 72 hr batt life, mine gets approx 24 hrs.

   I’m very much enjoying this watch. I refuse to spend much money on a watch, so when this went on sale at a bargain price, I went for it. I came from an Amazfit that was starting to annoy my by refusing to do alerts. This Samsung watch is a couple of generations old and is refurbished. I cannot tell that is isn’t brand new, and everything works well. I have a Samsung phone, so using the Samsung Wear app and syncing to the watch was super easy. Battery life is great – I’m at 75% after using it all day (no way am I going to be wanting to sleep with a watch on!). The step count is accurate. Setting what apps to alert was easy. The display is nice and bright. I haven’t bothered with EKG or other body measurements – I care about step counts. Along with that it purports to measure activity and calories expended – I have no way to know if they’re accurate… Anyway, bottom line – I’m very happy with this watch!

   My biggest concern when buying this watch was battery life. When it came initially, I put it on the charger for over an hour, but still had no sign of it charging. I was worried I got a defective watch or charger. I called support, and they were very kind, and said to let it charge for another hour, and then to call again if it still showed no sign. 2 HOURS later, I picked up my phone to call again, and right at that moment it turned on. It only showed 2% on the charge, but I was really happy to see it working. It took a while to reach a decent charge, about 50%, but then I took it off and got to work setting it up.

   Updates took a while, and even at one point it told me a few times it couldn’t update for whatever reason. Past that, I’ve had no issue. After about an hour it had drained over 40%, and my concerns over battery life started to become true. I set the display to be the lowest it could be, I turned off location, and turned off the feature that automatically wakes up my watch screen. Still didn’t help.

   BUT, once all the updates were done and day 2 came around, it had amazing battery life. I put it on the charger in the mornings when I shower and get ready for the day, about an hour, and it’s fully charged after that. Even as of now, sitting here writing this review, about 36 hours since the last charge, I’ve just passed 40% battery.

   I will admit, I don’t use a lot of apps. I bought this for the silent alarms and health monitoring, so lets talk about that. It easily detects when I start walking long distances, so I don’t have to search for that function. The last two days it’s been giving me reminders to start moving again after sitting for too long. I don’t know where to turn it off (I’ve looked) but it’s grown on me and I like it. This watch has better sleep tracking than my last, and its been very helpful to me. Vibrations are really strong, which I really like for silent notifications and alarms… I am a heavy sleeper though, so I have yet to wake up to any of these alarms without the sound. I really like the rotating bezel, but I’m afraid its been the culprit of accidently dismissing and snoozing alarms. It’s not my only alarm source, but I kind of wish it was, to avoid waking roommates.

   It’s been great at tracking heart rates, also something essential for me. I set it to track it all the time, because every 10 minutes would often miss the times I felt my heartrate skyrocket. It’s had no impact on the battery, which I think is great.

   I have a rather small wrist, so maybe I should have gotten a smaller watch, but I do like the fit regardless. The band that comes with it makes it kind of uncomfortable, and I constantly have a weird gap because of how stiff the band is. It’s gotten better the more I’ve worn it, but its still there after about a week, so I’m planning on buying another. It’s really lightweight, haven’t ever felt like it was too heavy. I got a simple black model, which I really appreciate since I work on concert venues quite often, and black attire is normal for me.

   All in all, I really love this watch, and would definitely recommend to anyone. If you plan on using the watch for the apps, I think another watch would be better for the batter life, but for my use it’s been perfect.
