10 reviews for PlayStation DualSense Edge Wireless Controller

This PlayStation DualSense Wireless Controller arrived lightning-fast, and the seller went above and beyond with the packaging. The controller was snugly secured in its box, ensuring no damage occurred during shipping.

The gray camouflage design is even more impressive in person—it’s sleek, modern, and adds a touch of personality to my gaming setup. Functionally, this controller is a game-changer. The haptic feedback and adaptive triggers elevate the gaming experience to an entirely new level. It feels responsive, comfortable, and incredibly durable, even during long gaming sessions.

Overall, it’s worth every penny for both its design and performance. If you’re a gamer looking for a stylish yet functional controller, this is the one to get!

These controllers handle well, and are extremely comfortable, but have components in them that break down too quickly in my opinion.

This is my FIFTH controller since I got the console.

I got a bundle years back that came with two controllers. Then I bought a black controller, then a red, now this additional black one. I’m not buying these because I love Sony so much. I’m buying them because eventually they start to drift, and it makes playing increasingly frustrating.

It is unfortunately a very common problem. I dislike that I have essentially been signaling to Sony that they can continue to drag their feet fixing this problem. I enjoy playing games alone and with friends, and in order to do that I need a controller that works properly. The ps5 controller, aside from this drifting problem, is a really good controller. Comfortable, responsive, very good design.

If they held up and didn’t need to be replaced so often, I’d give a five out of five for sure. Everything from Tekken to Fortnite is a joy to play until the drifting starts to happen. Sony needs to address this properly. Order parts from a different company or something.

If you are looking to use the DualSense controller on PC (Windows 10 user here), make sure you download the free Sony app called PlayStation Accessories and update the firmware. The updated firmware stopped my DualSense from disconnecting within a second or two of powering it on (it’s a known issue) and thus being forced to use it via USB C cable connected to the computer.

In some instances the controller will not shut down automatically after 5-10 minutes of inactivity. In this scenario, simply click the PS button for about 10 to 15 seconds and the controller will turn off automatically.

If you are playing games on Steam, you can use the Steam mapper option to map DualSense buttons to an XBOX controller (the PC standard gamepad). If you are playing games on PC but not using Steam, you can use DS4Windows to play titles designed for / only supporting XBOX controllers as this program will do the mapping for you.

Lastly, if you use an XBOX controller and are thinking about giving the Dual Sense a shot, I strongly encourage you to give it a try. The triggers are great for racing games, the feedback/ruble is strong and the size is great for adult hands. I have stopped using XBOX controllers on PC and could not be happier.

I’ve been wanting the purple ps5 controller for a long time but couldn’t afford to spend regular price on it so when it went on sale for Black Friday I swooped it up. It’s brand new and a beautiful deep purple. It connected just fine with my ps5 and I’ve been using it for the past few days with no issues so far. It charges as it should and holds a charge no better or worse than my controller that came with the console (brand new). Very happy with the sale price I got.

Controle é muito bonito e a única mudança que eu pude observar foi a estética.

I really liked how the dual sense feels in my hands because it feels like a premium product. It is the same as the regular white dual sense that comes with the ps5 but in a different color. It is a nice baby blue color that I like and it has been really great and fun to use. It does get a little dirty here and there after various uses but it can be cleaned fairly easily.

The PlayStation DualSense Wireless Controller is easily one of the best controllers I’ve ever used. The ergonomic design is comfortable, and the textured grips keep it secure during long gaming sessions. The adaptive triggers and haptic feedback are game changers, adding incredible immersion with realistic sensations like tension when pulling a bowstring or feeling the environment around you.

Battery life is solid, and the USB-C charging is a nice upgrade for faster recharges. The built-in microphone and motion sensors are great bonuses for a more versatile experience.

Overall, I totally recommend the DualSense to anyone looking for a premium controller that enhances gameplay. It’s a standout!

I’ve been debating on whether or not to get a second controller for a while. I mostly play on my own, and most of my games are single-player, so I didn’t think I really wanted one. I have, however, had guests that wanted to play, and sharing a controller is just a pain in the… Well, the decision was pretty made for me, because my one controller suddenly no longer wanted to toggle to the right. Signing in to use the console was like a game in itself. Luckily my sign in code begins with a 1, so that was easy enough to hit Enter on, but moving the cursor for any other number was practically impossible. But, I digress (though if someone can clue me in on how I can remedy this annoyance, I’d appreciate it). I charged the controller right away and it worked perfectly. The color is really cool, too. I didn’t want just another white one. I picked it up on a very good Black Friday sale, so that took the sting out of shelling out for full price, and i had credit from a couple of gift cards (Sony could really bring down the prices on so much without losing a profit. The bastids, lol). Anyway, I’m very pleased with the purchase, and hope it lasts longer than the one I got with the PS5 back in August of 2023.
