   I bought a different (read cheaper) prior to this. I returned it thinking maybe I’m not fit to pilot a drone…it was sooo bad.

   I ordered this Potensic Atom and it’s changed my mind! First I went over all the documentation and videos while everything was charging. Then I took it out for a trial run. OMG! I CAN pilot a drone! The controller is so smooth and easy to use, and the drone responds likewise. This thing flies like a dream.
   I’ve snapped a few pictures and the quality seems to be good. But I’ll delve into it more when I get more comfortable with the flying.

   So far, I couldn’t be happier with this small drone.

   I am absolutely blown away by this thing.

   First off, the packaging and the overall look and feel of the drone itself are excellent. It does not look or feel like a cheap toy in any way. The controller is comfortable and easy to use. The drone itself is easy to set up. The PotensicPro app, which is used to control to the drone through the controller, is fantastic and easy to use. It has video tutorials and guides you through initial setup and calibration.

   This drone is insanely stable and easy to fly. Takeoff and landing are a breeze. I get great range and pretty decent battery life. Photos are sharp and high quality. I like that you can shoot RAW+JPEG. Videos are also super sharp and perfectly stable thanks to the gimbal. Shooting in 4k 30fps looks amazing. The drone gives you full control over the camera settings, so you can fine-tune the exposure and white balance if you know how manual settings work. My only complaint with video is that the Atom does not let you shoot video in any type of RAW/Log format. For that, you need to look at the new Atom 2 drone, but most people won’t need that feature.

   This is only my first full day with it and I’m just so impressed. The quick shots and follow-me modes work great. No airspace restrictions that prevent you from taking off (though you still need to understand the local laws/regulations and the airspace you’re flying in). This is a way better value than anything from DJI. I expect this drone to last a long time, and I can’t wait to bring it with me on hikes and other adventures.

   Il drone ha tante qualità e mantiene tutte le sue promesse ma ci sono già tante recensioni per questo e quindi non mi soffermerò sulle caratteristiche tecniche.

   Ecco alcune note e consigli dopo 3 mesi di utilizzo:
   Innanzitutto vi straconsiglio la versione combo rispetto a quella base, vi garantite oltre un ora di divertimento senza dover ricaricare, la comodità di un caricabatterie rapido a 3 posti, due set di eliche di ricambio, una scheda di memoria e una pratica borsa per il trasporto; vale TUTTI gli 80€ richiesti in più. 👍🏻

   Per i principianti: tenete ben presente che NON ci sono sensori anti collisione, sconsiglio quindi un utilizzo all’interno se non sapete bene cosa state facendo e non siete già esperti. Attenti anche ai rami degli alberi!⚠️

   Altro consiglio è di aspettare di avere almeno una decina di satelliti prima di effettuare il decollo più è alto il loro numero e più sarà alta la precisione del punto di ritorno, a questo proposito:

   ⛔Ricordatevi SEMPRE di impostare prima del decollo il return to home (RTH).
   Il RTH è una delle funzioni più importanti, una corretta impostazione può fare la differenza tra veder “magicamente” tornare a casa il vostro drone dopo un imprevisto 🙇🏻‍♀️ o veder svanire all’orizzonte 400€😭

   ⚠️NOTA FONDAMENTALE⚠️: il cavetto del telecomando non garantisce una carica sufficiente allo smartphone, nel mio caso (Samsung s23 ultra) mi sono distratto confidente che il cellulare fosse in carica… conclusione? il telefono si è spento all’improvviso e preso dal panico e dall’inesperienza😱 non ho pensato al fatto che il telecomando era rimasto comunque connesso e bastava premere il pulsante RTH 🤦🏻‍♂️
   Fortunatamente il drone è stato più smart di me e prima che la batteria si esaurisse è tornato al punto di ritorno impostato, trovandomi per altro impegnato nelle più fervide preghiere 🙏🏻😂

   Nota inaspettata: Grazie alle numerose vendite si può contare su un’ottima community, quindi troverete facilmente risposta a tutti i vostri dubbi/problemi o perplessità, con una semplice ricerca online.

   Posso anche confermare l’ottima assistenza del servizio clienti: veloci, disponibili e professionali. Anche in questo caso niente da invidiare rispetto a marchi più blasonati🔝

   Un applauso al fatto che manuale e app sono tradotti in italiano, oramai non è scontato e dà la misura dell’attenzione che Potensic riserva ai clienti italiani.

   CONCLUSIONE: Nei prossimi mesi avrò la possibilità di testare il drone su distanze più elevate e in scenari più impegnativi, aggiornerò la recensione con le nuove esperienze, al momento super soddisfatto😁

   Ich bin absoluter Neuling was das Fliegen einer Drohne angeht und war von Anfang an begeistert. Ich hatte zuvor bereits diverse kleine, günstige Mini-Drohnen bei denen die Steuerung doch Recht schwierig war.
   Bei der Potensic Atom hat von Anfang an alles bestens Funktioniert.

   Dank der unten angebrachten Sensoren war sogar ein Flug in der Wohnung möglich und die Drohne hat erstaunlich gut und ruhig ihre Position gehalten. Der erste Flug im Freien war dank voreingestellten Beginner-Modus auch spielend leicht.
   Viele Funktionen sind Selbsterklärend und die App ist übersichtlich und gut aufgebaut. Die Drohne reagiert präzise auf die Fernsteuerung und das Fliegen macht richtig spaß.

   Die Kamera und der Gimbal machen gute Arbeit und die Qualität der Aufnahmen haben mich überzeugt. Um wirklich die volle Qualität der 4K-Aufnehmen genießen zu können, muss die Speicherkarte aus der Drohne entfernt und auf einem geeigneten Bildschirm abgespielt werden. Die Bilder und Videos können zwar auch direkt über die Fernbedienung aufs Handy übertragen werden aber dann nur mit niedriger Auflösung.

   Ich habe mich aufgrund diverser Youtube-Videos und Rezensionen im Internet für die Potensic Atom entschieden und bin bisher sehr zufrieden was Handling, Qualität und Preis betrifft.
   Um vergleichbare Ausstattung und Qualität beim Marktführer D** zu bekommen, muss man dort deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen.

   Mit aktuellem Stand würde ich die Drohne sofort jedem weiterempfehlen, der nach einer günstigen Einsteigerdrohne mit großem Funktionsumfang und einfachen Handling sucht. Der Kundenservice von Potensic ist auch sehr zuvorkommend (ich hatte vor der Bestellung eine Frage und mir wurde sehr schnell geholfen).

   I am really impressed with this little thing. It is really easy to setup and start flying for a noob like me, and the controls are easy to pickup and get used to. The video quality on this here is pretty impressive too, especially considering the price.

   The footage is really stable, even when in `sport mode` and going pretty fast (like 20mph in winds) – and the gimbal is easy to control and get the shots that I want without thinking about it too hard.

   One thing I noticed is that in `auto` mode while filming, it can really blow out highlights if there is a lot of contrast, say with green trees and white sidewalk. Fortunately you can modify the the ISO and shutter speed to help combat this, but it isn’t always ideal since you only have so many flight minutes per battery. I’m hoping later firmware updates will help here, but I’m not holding my breath – and it isn’t really a big deal.

   Battery life is really respectable, I am impressed with how long this thing flies. In my tests its like 20 minutes before I land, but I tend to land with some battery left in case I see something else I want to film or fly over – so I don’t doubt the advertised 30 minute flight time (assuming the right conditions)

   The GPS is pretty good, and I quite like the autoreturn and autoland features, but I’ve gotten more comfortable doing both manually (its kind of fun) so I don’t use that as much now. But it works, and works pretty good.

   I don’t have any complaints, I really like this thing and look forward to flying it when ever I see a nice day out. It checked all my boxes too:
   – be a good price
   – have good and stable footage
   – have at least 20 minutes of flight time per charge

   I didn’t try any of the intelligent flight modes, and I’m not really super interested in them – but if I do try them I’ll update this review with additional information on what I think about them.

   But overall: this is a great drone, I love it and would buy another in a heartbeat.

   I am so impressed! My friend has an dji mini 3 and even he had to admit it was just as good as his drone, and even has more fuctions. No issues, everything works perfect. Rock solid in strong winds and delivers bautiful pictures and video. Tested it out to 1,6km in less than ideal conditions before I lost contact, and the drone returned perfectly and landed within 1 meter of homepoint. Highly recommend this one.

   Brilliant little drone that has exceeded my expectations. When I first opened the box I thought how small the drone was. Not expecting much, I got it up and running and was really surprised at the stability and picture quality. It really is so easy to fly and the added bonus is if you get into trouble you just tell it to return home by itself.
   I think the instructions could do with better explanations. The tutorial videos are good but don’t fully explain what the different settings do. Trial and error will probably resolve this in time.
   Aside from that, there is nothing to dislike.
   I did have an issue with headless mode. (Look it up if, like me, you had no idea what it is) The tutorial video mentioned it but I couldn’t find a setting in the app. After contacting Potensic support, who i have to say are excellent, they said that due to patent infringment they could no longer support this function. They apologised profusely and sent me a spare set of blades for my inconvenience. They seem to be a company who really want to stand out in terms of customer service and they really wanted to know where this mode was mentioned in the video so that the information could be corrected.
   There’s too much to mention about the drone’s capabilities. Look at the online reviews. I found them to be very useful in terms of finding out what the drone can do.
   Summing up. I don’t have any other drones so don’t know how this one compares. What I can say is that it totally impressed me with it’s flight stability, camera quality and battery life. I got the fly more set with 3 batteries which, personally, I think is worth it. Time will tell if I use it enough though. You feel comfortable flying it even after a few flights. If you go the wrong way, just take your hands off the controls and it will sit there rock solid until you regain your composure.
   Also rest assured that if you do encounter a problem or have a question, Potensic customer service will be there to support you. I think this is worthy of mention.
   My advice would be if having watched the various videos online, you think this is the right drone for you then go for it. You won’t be disappointed.

   The video is of my second day flying the drone (and I only used two batteries to film that) in Korea.
   I had never flown a drone before, not even a toy drone, so I was quite nervous despite having watched some youtube tutorials. Wow, it is SO EASY to fly!! Even on my first flight, after about 20 minutes I felt confident using it.
   Also, I was surprised by how tiny it is, haha. It’s literally about the size of my hand. The plus side is it’s lightweight and compact enough to carry around anywhere, but it’s hard to keep an eye on it in the sky, especially at a distance.
   On my first day, I spotted some deer running in a field. It was late afternoon and I was so thrilled to get footage of deer prancing along. Luckily I stopped and hovered for a second, moved the camera angle up, and saw I was just feet away from a smashing into bridge! Please check your surroundings!!
   It has so many perks. The customer service team is very responsive and helpful. The quality of the footage is fantastic at the price point. Quickshots and tracking are great, especially for a beginner like myself. The “fly more” package you get around 90 minutes of flight time, and can charge the other batteries via USB C while you’re flying. Again, it’s really easy to use… the controls are sensitive enough that you can pan/turn/lift, etc. as slowly or quickly as you’d like.
   The only negative is it doesn’t have obstacle avoidance. Of course, that would make it more expensive, but just be careful of all the surrounding and play it safe. If you can’t see the drone yourself, then please use caution and plan the route carefully. It can be hard to judge how close things are.
   I’m glad the company regularly takes feedback from customers and makes updates. I’m particularly happy about the option to cancel the automatic return to home and do it manually.
   I would highly recommend this for anyone wanting to get into drone photography or video, if you have no experience, and are on a budget. This is the one for you! Do not hesitate, just get it!!
