Iām a former Apple Watch user and hated wearing the watch as I prefer a more traditional watch. Apple Watch battery life always caused me to miss sleep patterns and it always needed charging in 24 hours. Itās not for me and I also didnāt like working out with a watch on. I ended up rarely wearing the watch
After fitting for the ring I went with the stealth black. The battery life has been great and so far Iām getting 7 days. It accurately tracks heart rate and sleep, which were my biggest needs but I love that I can wear it for a week straight without charging. Itās tracks way more like recovery, sleep cycles and vo2 and frankly Iām getting way more out of the ring than I expected. I also wear it when I workout including weights and itās been unnoticeable to me unlike the Apple Watch.
I love the simplicity of a ring and Iām a full convert.
As for the monthly fee that some people seem to be mad about, Iām sure there are apps fees most of us are paying for other things but this fee is cheap for what it is. Itās your health after all and itās worth it. They are also constantly improving the app and older versions of the ring work with these updates. Iām more than happy paying this fee as itās going to improvements in health metrics (and Iām sure some profits) but itās worth it to me because the app is very insightful and beyond my expectations.
Durabilty also seems great. Iāve showered with it and worked out with barbell right on it and so far there are no scratches
As for things I wish it had –
The charger is meant for the ring size you buy so you are very limited in charging if you donāt have it. If you lose it you got problems. Itās not ideal but i also donāt know what could be done here
There is no portable charger and it feels like a big need. I wish it had an AirPod like charging case for travel. I travel for 2-3 weeks at a time and sure wish I had a portable charger I could get a couple recharges from. They have to be working on this as it seems like a no brainer
The silver interior with stealth black I wish was all black but itās not really noticeable. Not a bud deal
Summer –
As someone who owned the GEN three, I have to say the newest one is quite a disappointment. There were a couple things I did like about the newest one. It is definitely much lighter in weight and I do like how the sensors are recessed. Unfortunately, thatās the only thing I liked about it. Mine did arrive with fingerprints all over it along with either scratches on the bottom or something stuck inside the coding. Either way for a $500 price tag that is just unacceptable. My biggest complaint however is how the rose gold looks nothing like the GEN three whatsoever. I expected some difference in the coding of course, but this essentially looks straight up gold. Iāve heard from other people the newest gold coding is almost bronze and unappealing. Or as a rose gold comes off like a dirty gold. That is unfortunately accurate. Is also misleading based upon the photos on ouras Website they definitely enhanced the color because I was expecting a beautiful rose pink light color like the current one I have from the previous generation. And it was nothing like that. It honestly just looked cheap. Sadly itās going back.

I’ve had this ring for about 24 hours now and I’m loving it so far! The fit feels pretty much like the sizer ring was. Maybe a little bit more snug but not much. It’s used about 10% of the battery running in regular mode. It’s been really good about tracking steps. I went for a walk earlier and it detected that. Some of the other features don’t have data yet because it needs a few days to a couple of weeks of collecting data to establish a baseline. I’m okay with that. The finish is more shiny than I thought it would be. Since I work in a shop, I’m going to have to find a way to protect it so it doesn’t look like crap after a couple of weeks. I’m excited to see what all it can do once it has my baselines established!
Update: I’ve had the ring for about 3 weeks now and the love affair is over. I still like the construction of the ring and the potential it has. But one of my main issues is sleep tracking. About half of the time, it says “waiting for sleep data” after I’ve already been awake for 2 hours. It also has trouble tracking my blood oxygen. You also can’t really edit your sleep time. I’ll go to bed at my regular time but sometimes have to get up in the middle of the night to use the restroom. Then it tracks the sleep afterwards as a nap and the sleep before is nowhere to be found. I’ve contacted customer service and they basically tell me what to do what’s already in the help section and FAQs. So for this – minus 2 stars.
2nd update: Oura replaced my faulty ring and it is now tracking everything that it should be tracking. I really like how it reminds me to stretch my legs if I’ve been idle too long. And I really love the sleep insights. Based on the data from the ring, I’ve been able to improve my sleep quality. And those of you that are complaining about the $6 per month subscription, why don’t you complain about the price of the experience coffee you’re buying every morning? Just sayin’

El anillo 4 ha resultado pesimo. La bateria no dura ni de cerca lo que promete. El tamaƱo no es igual y no queda igual. Y a mucha gente se le ha salido el ‘gasket’ del anillo (lo pueden encontrar en reddit). Tengo la generacion 3 y puedo decir que no vale la pena esta nueva version 4 para nada. Lo peor es que devolvĆ el anillo hace dĆas. Ya les llegĆ³ y no procesan el reembolso. QuĆ© estĆ” pasando? Me dicen que demora en llegar a mi tarjeta, pero estĆ” muy claro que es que no se ha hecho el reembolso. No lo han devuelto. Aun tienen mi dinero. Tomen en cuenta todo esto si han pensado en comprar este anillo.
