I’m actually pretty impressed with this solar charger for my GoalZero Yeti 1000 Lithium. It seems to be built very rugged and can withstand some camping trips (and would be great for hurricane preparedness charging). We all know that, for example, if a Solar Panel says it is 100 Watts, you will not get ALL 100 watts from it. Keeping that in mind, my Yeti 1000 Lithium was drained completely to zero battery. I wanted to plug this new solar panel charger in and test it. It is a nice sunny April day (not even the brightest dead of summer days yet). The instructions clearly say to open the foldable legs on the back of the panel and face it, angled, toward the sun. As a test, I first laid the panels on the tailgate of my truck and it was only getting about 80 watts… then, following the directions, I set it angled facing the sun and it instantly jumped up to 164 watts input. My GoalZero told me that from 0% battery level, this solar panel will take 5.7 hours to charge to 100%. I would say that is VERY acceptable to me considering this GoalZero Yeti 1000 Lithium can run whatever I use for camping/survival all day. That means that if I needed to charge it during the day and let it run my stuff at night, it should be able to do it. This solar charger appears to function properly and as advertised and when used in conjunction with my battery backup, I believe I could technically have unlimited survival power (within reason of course). The panel when folded fits nicely in the provided carrying case, which is also very nice I might add, so COULD be carried on the back of someone if using it for tent/solo camping. It is not very heavy at all and has several different types of connections all built into its charging cord. Plus, it comes with a selection of other adapters. I would feel comfortable recommending this product, wholeheartedly, to anyone in my family (or yours)! I’ll attach a couple photos to show you how I tested it at the back of my truck and the screen of my display. Lastly, while it may FEEL a little pricey, I believe you get what you pay for, and this one is priced right. Good luck, be safe out there and enjoy life on your adventures!

This is a great solar panel! I’ve used top tier name brand panels and this truly holds up. My only issue is that mine came with 14 out of the 15 adapters, no big deal since the battery I have takes one of the ones I did receive, but still. This is nicely weighted, both stable enough to endure basic wind, and light enough to carry around fairly easily. It doesn’t break down as small as some do, but that’s not really an issue for me. I haven’t tested it out in the sun yet, however I did ensure everything necessary is there, and that everything looks well made. The pouch on the front is perfect for cable and accessories. And the kickstand parts are nicely durable as well, if needed you could place a sandbag or something on them to withstand stronger winds, (like out in the desert or on a beach/shore) but it really should hold up well on its own. I’m super happy with this order

I just set this up at 9am aiming it into the sun. Without it’s power I was getting 4.5 amp charge on my controller from another panel. Once I put this on I showed 14 amp charge thru my controller to the battery (hinting 9.5 amps added). Some may say “That’s not the full 10.4 amps the specs show”, but you rarely get the peak performance where getting 85% or better is really good. I even have panels on my house roof and the same is true on them like getting 6500 watts from the 7800 array is typical in good sun. So it has the power shown for you.
Some may find this panel a bit big for “portable” units, but if you want over 100 watts that’s what you’ll need. I like the one-fold for storage (over some with 4 folds or more) and built-in legs to have it at an angle on the ground. They only have 6 inch cables coming out to MC connections, from there you can use the included cord (with multiple ends and adaptors) or get other wiring for your own equipment. When folded the solar face is on the outside, so they include a cloth cover bag to go over it (and minimize scratches etc during transport).

I have one other folding solar panel that came with my EcoFlow power station. While it does mostly work at forty five watts it took three days of sun to fully charge my power station. I could just grab one of my little one hundred watt panels but that’s less convenient when camping and such. I’ve been using other ZoupW 16BB panels for a little while now (remember those one hundred watts ones) and they have always performed well. Often exceeding the rated amount by ten percent or so. When I was looking for a portable panel it was an easy decision given that ZoupW has those too.
These panels are reasonably light but I would not be backpacking with them of course. Given the size they are easy enough to move around and even easier to deploy. I do wish the panels could be tilted back a little more though. My solar angle is closer to twenty five percent this time of year and the panel only seems to go to about thirty five or so. The multi device cable is handy if you have different power stations. All mine use XT60 so I’ll opt to use that cable and save a little bulk. The only thing about this I don’t love is the case. Don’t get me wrong it’s nice they include it but it’s awkward to put the panels in it and the cover doesn’t really offer much more than dust protection. Especially since the solar sides face out. I might try to find some foam that will fit in there with it to add some protection.
