A great first laptop. I would definitely buy for the rest of my family.

My HP Pavilion laptop from 2019 was to the end of its capacity in terms of RAM and SSD space. This Lenovo is very similar to the HP except it is faster and has upgraded storage space (more RAM and bigger SSD). Plus, it has the touch screen the HP was missing. Moving in has been easy. Bloatware is minimal. The keyboard layout is almost exactly the same. My basic requirements revolve around spreadsheet use, financial software, and Internet browsing. A numeric keypad is a must plus enough memory to keep a dozen or more browser tabs open. An unexpected bonus is the antiglare screen and light weight. Several reviewers mentioned that this device is initially limited to apps available at the Microsoft store. That was the case, but was easily remedied. It is exactly the laptop I was looking for.

I’ve never owned a laptop, had built my own desktop monster PC back in 2007 that has been upgraded over the years to include a SSD, high end graphics card, 3 TB RAID array, and all sorts of extras.

Needed a laptop to do remote work, almost bought a Lenovo at a big box store, but decided to see what Amazon had available and found this one. This one has twice the storage capacity and 12 GB of memory instead of only 8 that the big box store had for pretty much the same price.

Very happy with the purchase, so far this little guy has performed flawlessly and it’s very fast, faster than my beast of a home built machine that was once cutting edge and blazing fast.

It’s just what I needed. The laptop filled all my needs.

I had to replace my other Lenova laptop that was given to me as a Christmas present. That one became unusable due to the breaking of the charge cord where it goes into the laptop. (It became unusable because the stem broke off in the laptop and stopped charging it. So far this lenova is working fine and I hope it doesn’t have the same issue occurring or any other issue coming to light!

The right hinge on our Lenovo started pulling up on the casing, which in a matter of weeks led to the screen breaking completely. All of this was bad, but since it happened after we’d only had it for six months, we should still be good, right? The Lenovo manufacture warranty covers hardware failure and defects during the first year, so surely this would count?

After more than an hour on the phone with Lenovo tech support, unfortunately, the answer was essentially, “nah, we’re good, take care of it yourself.” Why, you might ask, would a manufacturer warranty not cover an issue with the hinge of the laptop destroying the laptop, after only extremely light use? The guy on the phone told me, “Hardware doesn’t count the outside of the laptop. We mean hardware like the motherboard. Only the INSIDE of the laptop is covered.”

So, buyer beware. Personally I’ll never buy another Lenovo product again. And I’ll certainly never waste any time thinking their manufactures warranty is worth a damn.

Very nice and sturdy laptop, battery not the best but it last enough ,very sleek looking and nice display.

I have had terrible luck with HP and Dell laptops in the past. I’ve had my Lenovo laptop for about 2.5 months and it is great: no issues, problems or concerns. I was a bit concerned when Lenovo Vantage showed that I only had 7 months of my 12 month warranty left when my laptop arrived. I immediately contacted the seller (YouthHostel) via Amazon. (I was impressed that the seller responded in about 2 hours in the middle of the night.) The seller told me to contact the manufacturer through Lenovo Vantage. All I had to do was submit a screenshot of my Amazon invoice to show when I actually received my laptop and Lenovo reset my warranty to 12 months. (I ordered a laptop with upgraded memory so as soon as the seller opened the laptop to expand the memory, the warranty clock had started; however, as soon as I proved to the manufacturer that I purchased the laptop 5 months after that action, the warranty was restored to 12 months.)
