bought 2 of these, one was a gift, the other for me, Both arrived in excellent condition. it was a breeze to set up. connected to wifi, signed into google, 3 mins later it was all set up. i synced with my android phone, it even auto connected to new wifi at work, assuming it took setting from my phone that was connected. There were a couple of minor wear marks on it, but that’s to be expected (in my opinion) when buying “renewed”. screen was perfect, no cracks or dead pixels, touch pad and touch screen works great. battery seems decent but have only been using for a day so far, but so far so good!!!

My kids wanted “laptops” for Christmas, but I wasn’t spending a lot. Or buying anything too fancy. They are young, so they didn’t need anything more than something to watch YouTube and play some games. These were perfect for that. I bought two of them. Both looked like they were new and in great condition. I charged them up and set them all up so they could use them first thing Christmas morning. I was able to set them up under the Family Link app and I can control most settings straight from my phone. Screen time, app downloads, locking/unlocking the device and much more. The kids also loved them and love the fact that they are touchscreen as well. They like being able to fold it over and use it as a tablet. The reason for the 4 stars was because one of the laptops doesn’t hold a charge nearly as long as the other. That battery dies almost twice as fast as the other and the charging port is a bit finiky. It is a renewed item, so it’s not surprising to me that this is an issue. It happens with cell phones all the time. We just make sure to plug it in nightly and keep a cord nearby if it dies while in use. Other than that, we’ve not had any issues using it for what we purchased it for.

The Lenovo Chromebook is an outstanding choice for families, particularly for kids, offering great value for its price. Its lightweight design and durable build make it perfect for younger users, while the Chrome OS provides a user-friendly and secure platform for both education and entertainment.

The battery life is impressive, lasting up to 10 hours, which is ideal for long school days or extended use at home. The system boots up quickly, and with access to Google Play, kids can easily download educational apps, games, and productivity tools. Despite being budget-friendly, it doesn’t skimp on performance, handling multitasking and streaming with ease.

For parents concerned about safety, the Lenovo Chromebook includes built-in virus protection and automatic updates, ensuring that kids can browse and use apps without worrying about malware or security issues. The keyboard is comfortable for typing, which is great for homework assignments or online classes.

Overall, the Lenovo Chromebook is a highly affordable, reliable, and kid-friendly option that provides an excellent balance of functionality and durability at a great price point. Highly recommended for families looking for a dependable device for their children!

I don’t know what the issue is, this thing just… doesn’t work well.

I don’t know if it’s because it’s refurbished, if Google OS is weird, if the keyboard isn’t responsive, if the tablet is slow, or any of a thousand other things that just feel OFF.

    Examples:

Google workspace apps, specifically Google sheets, is the mobile version. Even though you have as track pad and a keyboard, it only allows you to interface with it as though you were on a phone, seriously limiting my capabilities in Google sheets. You can’t rearrange tabs, freezing top row is unintuitive, etc.

While using Google sheets, the keyboard misses inputs. At first I thought it was dropping the first letter I typed because it had to, like, select into the cell. I tried to muscle through and noticed that it would skip random letters in words too though.

I hooked up a Bluetooth mouse and trying to scroll with the mouse is a nightmare, the screen will lock up, the scrolling is inconsistent (on YouTube, for instance, sometimes a scroll will bring you down one row of videos, other times it moves you down a whole page and it locks the app up), and it’s very hard to be precise. I’m not talking for graphic design type precision, I’m saying it’s hard to click the three dots next to a video the mouse is so janky.

If you have a system update, you can’t download or install new apps.

By default, the system uses internal storage and not Google drive, making it a pain to start a document on this device and work on it at your computer.

It will just crash sometimes. Just, while thing, shuts down. No clue.

App functionally is different between this device, mobile, and my computer so switching around is very confusing as each one has little differences.

It’s very slow. Just having Google sheets and YouTube open makes it sputter and run incredibly slow.

The touchscreen is very responsive on an up note, it’s decently bright and crisp too.

Overall, very unhappy with this purchase. I should’ve sent it back but thought I could use it as a little media computer for work but… it’s not even really good and playing YouTube videos

I’ve never owned a touchscreen Chromebook before. When I saw this being available for a good price on The ‘Zon, I had to give it a try.
It arrived one day early, so I was pleasantly surprised. The unboxing of the Chromebook was secured and protected. I’m currently charging it. I ran a CPU and battery test. I see the battery has a 83 percent lifespan, which is great for a refurbished laptop. The ease of setup is simple enough, just login with your Gmail account. The keyboard is standard and easy-to-use. There are volume buttons, A shutdown/sign out, lock and feedback button,HDMI,c USB and an SD card slot on the sides of the Chromebook. The touchscreen works just fine.

The only thing I cannot speak on fully at the moment is the average battery life. The technical details says 10 hours. It is currently charging at 63% and it says I have 3 hours and 30 minutes of battery life left when I unplugged it from the charger. The charging history says it has been charged a little over 130 times. Either way, I think the price is pretty good. I can replace the battery myself if and when I need to.
The processor speed is pretty fast. 11.6 inch screen. Comes with a charger. No blemishes. Chromebook looks like new.

I’m going to be using this Chromebook for Internet browsing, checking email, school projects and the Google Suite of products. I gave this review five stars because it delivered as promised. Hope this review helps you with your decision!

Touchpad not in 4 months and Chromebook entirely stopped working in 8 months after giving missing OS error. External drives don’t work for restoring. So, it’s nothing more than a brick now. Manufacturer don’t support at all for Amazon Renewed telling me the warranty for this specific serial number was already activated 4 years ago. I totally regret this purchase
