   Reliable and sturdy. This is really the only brand I trust for in the field data dumping and storage. Not as fast as solid state for editing, but best of the spinning drives IMO.

   Update: data recovery failed
   Hard drive failed after 2 months with a mechanical clicking sound. Device registered same day as received, have been chatting for 1.5 hours to have them recognize the warranty and try and recover the data. That may still take 40 days. And 2 hours into the chat, they’re trying to tell me they will give me a refurbished hard drive, even though this new hard drive.
   I purchased a second one to use for iCloud backup. The return window ended about a week ago. I would have returned it if I’d known how unreliable the device is and how poor the customer experience would be.
   Do not purchase this.

   Rugged.

   The transfer rate seems pretty decent compared to some other ssd drives I have.

   It comes with a USB 3.0 cable. Small adapters are easily found to mate it to my MacBook Pro.

   As a college student, freelance photographer and graphic designer, and works on my personal laptop for my current job- this has changed my life(seriously it’s done wonders). I kept running out of space on my Mac for the longest time because of all the files I had stored and the programs I constantly used. This external hard drive was recommended to me and it is so easy to use and is super reliable! It’s easy to travel with as I bring it everywhere and the fact that it was designed with a rubber casing puts me more at ease that there’s a lesser chance of it getting damaged. I totally recommend this!!
