Hard drive died after 1 year of little use. Starting making a clicking sound and would not show up in disk manager.

For me it works but seems to drain fast my MacBook Air battery ( don’t know if it’s the hard drive or the MacBook itself) and it is heavy in mi opinion.

Great little (emphasis on the little) drive for a good price considering the size and capacity. I changed to a longer USB-C cable for convenience, but I already had it on hand. The short one is better if you want to save space in your briefcase, but I use this in the house.

This La Cie drive replaced a g-technology 2GB drive that failed just short of 4 years usage. I back up my MACbook each weekend so the drive was used only lightly. Hopefully, the La Cie will provide similar service. Both the g-drive and the the La Cie are covered by 3-year warrantees.
