I have used Ego power equipment for almost ten years. I live in an area that has blackouts often, so I’ve used this many times now. It a GREAT unit! My only complaint is the fan to cool the inverter is a bit loud when it’s under higher loads, but that’s to be expected of any high air volume fan. The unit itself works beautifully! I have also used it running a table saw with two 7.5 Ah older batteries and had no issues! I’ve run it with four Ego 10Ah batteries from my riding mower and it’s lasted 18 hours with a 1.1 Kw refrigerator load running intermittently. I highly recommend this unit, it’s well designed like almost all other Ego equipment is.

It’s really only useful as a way to use already charged batteries to provide A/C power. If you want to recharge the batteries you’re much better off using the regular Ego chargers as this power station charges one battery at a time, and it does so very, very, very slowly. Worse, when it’s plugged in (which is how you charge) then none of the outlets on it work (it can’t pass through power). I’m super happy with my a lawnmower, leaf blower, hedge trimmer and a lawn trimmer, all have been up to their task and seem well designed. I’m shocked at how the design of this thing was approved.

The EGO Power+ PST3040 3000W Nexus Portable Power Station is a versatile, gas-free generator alternative, perfect for both indoor and outdoor use. Powered by EGO’s 56V ARC Lithium batteries, this 3000W peak, 2000W continuous power station can efficiently run household appliances, power tools, and camping gear without emissions or noise. Featuring four USB ports and three 120V AC outlets, it supports multiple devices simultaneously, making it ideal for emergency backup, camping trips, job sites, and tailgating. The rugged yet portable design ensures durability, while the intuitive LCD display provides real-time power usage updates. Unlike traditional generators, the Nexus Power Station requires no gas, reducing maintenance and fuel costs. While battery life depends on usage and the number of connected batteries (sold separately), its clean, silent operation makes it an eco-friendly, high-performance power solution for any situation.

I am a big fan of EGO products. This portable power station sounded like a good idea to help during a power failure, so I bought one last year. Power failures are somewhat rare, but when they happen they can be a pain. During the many months between power failures, this product sits around getting no use. It occurred to me that it would be extremely valuable if this unit could charge four batteries at the same time during the weekend when I’m working on the lawn. Unfortunately EGO didn’t design that feature into the unit, and now that I’ve owned it over 6 months with it taking up space and not getting used much, I sort of feel I’ve wasted my money. If EGO ever decided to produce a power station capable of charging batteries that are attached to it (like when the grid is up and running), then I’d likely get it and consider selling the one I currently own. Anyway, in the meantime, I bought a Jackery Solar Generator 2000 PRO with 2160Wh Capacity that includes two 200W solar panels to supplement the EGO power station.

Let me start by saying I own tons of ego products and I’m a fan of the brand in general. This power station does deliver power as intended but has some drawbacks.
    1. The inability to solar charge without buying an adapter is unacceptable when almost every other station has it at this point
    2. If you only have smaller batteries to attach the station is very expensive on its on to not have a large amount of power
    3. The cost for station alone is very high considering most stations already come with a built in battery. It would have been cool to see ego give this thing an internal battery with the ability to add the additional batteries to it.

Overall it is a cool product and makes use of the existing batteries you may already have but would not be worth it if you are not totally invested in the ego line up already.

Using this in my business ( Landscape care ) Fertilizing trailers we walk trough high end properties – This runs the electric pumps – We are all ” Green ” No carbon footprint – No noise -No exhaust – This runs the pumps longer than expected – Quiet ! My customers are impressed – Whats more important than that ?
Using all EGO equipment – tried all the top brands – EGO came out on top – We’ve invested in Ego and are very satisfied with the Brand – Thank you !

  8. Silveradofan7092

I tested this setup with four 10-amp batteries running a 1300-watt AC unit. On a hot day, I estimate it could run continuously for about 1.5 hours. My test, however, was conducted on a mild day, allowing the AC to cycle on and off as it reached the set temperature. After two hours, I ended the test, and the system still indicated approximately one hour of remaining runtime when the compressor was active. Would definitely recommend purchasing the duel fast charger I still have to as well but this product took 12 hours to charge my batteries back to full and they weren’t even dead so I’d give it around 13-15 hours on dead batteries.

Bought the Big EGO SnowBlower and came with some big batteries. Never snowed so looking for something to use them on so I got this Power Unit. Ran the Sawzall great and also a Craftsman shop VAC. Cut up a Pallet and did some vacuuming and Batteries were still full.
