Have not had it long, not really a hardcore gamer, mostly play WoT, which this is overkill for. I do like the RGB, though the keyboard isn’t the easiest to ready(prefer the keyboard on my MSI thin 15, much easier to see for these old eyes). I use a separate mouse/KB combo so that negates the laptops kb issue for me. Everything else with this Asus is far superior to the MSI. Ease of access to upgrade drive and memory is the major perk with this Asus, it’s a breeze. Added a Samsung 990 2tb NVMe.
It has a quality feel, it’s fast, the price was right. Wifi works great, and so far no heating issues. Playing WoT probably isn’t push it much, but it’s sitting on a Klim turbo frost cooling pad, mainly for having filtered air entering the laptop. The laptop fits this cooling pad perfectly and it’s not noisy at all. No issues holding up to my TV using HDMI to get a nice big picture while blowing up tanks.

I wanted to love this laptop because the ROG Strix mobo in my PC is outstanding, but…
Day 1 we immediately had issues with the touchpad becoming unresponsive. It was toggled on, drivers were up to date, none of the common fixes did anything. Checked BIOS, factory reset, nothing helped. It’s not a wire unconnected either because sometimes it will work on boot for a random amount of time and then nothing. Extremely disappointed because ASUS ROG Strix is supposed to be amazing but obviously not.
Everyone will be using a mouse with this so that’s the obvious workaround, but if things are messing up on day one I am NOT taking my chances.

I’m not really a gamer, but I needed a powerful computer for graphics processing and video work. For years, I was limited by my old work laptop that could only handle basic office tasks, so making the leap to this machine was a big deal, affordability being a major factor. So far, I’ve been seriously impressed by the laptop’s performance; it easily runs everything I need, including the full Adobe suite, without any glitches or slowdowns. Internet connectivity was a breeze, with quick uploads and downloads.
It comes with generous memory and storage right out of the box, but I love that upgrades are simple thanks to a convenient slide-out compartment on the back. The cooling system is excellent, keeping things running smoothly even under heavy workloads. And I have to admit, the customizable RGB lightbar and keyboard not only look great, but are a fun extra that makes working on this laptop even more enjoyable. If you need a capable, versatile machine for creative work, this is a fantastic choice.

So fas so good, as always easy to install and use around. Not that much softwares from Asus. Of course the performance will not be the same as a full built custom PC but pretty impressed by the speed and the quality of it.
The RGB on the outside makes it look nice and add some extra FPS for sure ahah but again its always nice to look at some rainbow lights while playing.
Price was great, getting a new generation laptop for around 1200 is very good, was able to buy it on amazon prime day
