Overall, it’s a good watch and it has a good companion app. What ruins the phone (and my walking schedule) is quirky charging. Today, for instance, I plugged in the cord at about 8am for an 11am walk, since it was down to about 20% and my walks are long with GPS tracking and music to my bluetooth earbuds the whole way. At 11am, the charge level was down to 19%, so I reversed the adapter and delayed my walk until noon. At noon, the charge level was down to 18%, so I cleaned the adapter and pins on the back of the watch with alcohol. I plugged in the adapter and, like always, it showed it was charging…until, of course, I walked away. I came back at 1pm to the same 18% and reversed the adapter. Finally, around 2pm, it was fully charged, so off I went on my walk. A half-hour later, an unforecasted storm hit and I got soaked. My walking clothes are currently in the dryer, as I’m waiting for the rain to stop. Instead of an 11-1:30 7.5 mile walk, it’s now 3:40 and I’ve got to restart after the roads and sidewalks dry. I’ll NEVER, EVER buy another Garmin product as long as I live.

She is pretty slim, so we were a little worried it would be too big. Couldn’t find a Venu 2S in a color that she liked, so decided to give this a shot. The size doesn’t bother her at all. Even wearing it to bed, it doesn’t bother her and she is a very light sleeper.

She used Fitbit for years, but they have become terrible. Recent software updates have wrecked the accuracy and functionality of Fitbit devices and app. This Garmin is much more accurate, and doesn’t have the connectivity issues that her Fitbit developed after the updates.

The Garmin Venue 2 smartwatch excels primarily as a fitness tracker, providing detailed insights into their health and activity levels. Its accurate tracking capabilities and extensive range of health metrics make it a valuable tool for fitness enthusiasts seeking to monitor their progress. However, its performance as a traditional smartwatch is somewhat lacking, with occasional connectivity issues and limited functionality compared to other smartwatches on the market. Despite these drawbacks, the Venue 2 remains a solid choice for fitness tracking, but not great for smart watch activities. I returned it and bought the Samsung Watch Series 6 LTE instead.

  4. Robert Cole

Tracks important health parameters in real time. Sleep tracking algorithm is different from my previous watch resulting in sleep scores lower than expected. Other than that I really like the watch.

Got this for my brother. Nothing scratch, not damage, perfect use… it just like a new one… and they got a good deal. But I refused Len star just became of package.. the hard cover box got damaged a little bit but not impact the product.

If I didn’t know it was a refurbished product, I would never have guessed. There are no scratches, no issues, nothing to indicate it’s not knew. I love it!

I had a Fitbit charge and a Xiaomi miband in the past. The Garmin Venu 2 is by far my favorite in comfort, style, and accuracy. The a couple minor dislikes I have is I couldn’t get the music app to work and it looks like there’s only29mb of storage to work with so I would have to be selective with what songs and apps to use. I couldn’t figure out how to get the exercise muscle demonstration to appear that I’ve seen in the ads. Those are really not a big deal to me, I’m pleased with the automatic activity tracker. I feel this watch is a good asset in my life.
