The connectivity of this Laptop is pretty good. It is missing a few things I’d really like.

The USB-C connection is just for data. I wasn’t able to get a second monitor connected via a USB-C to HDMI cable or a USB-C dock. The USB-C connection did work for connection a hardwire ethernet. I had to use the USB-C dock to gain a hardwire ethernet because there isn’t one on the laptop.

The description says Windows 11, but it doesn’t say “Home” or “Pro”. It turns out, it’s the “Home” version.

All of the documentation I’ve read say that you have to connect the Laptop to a network in order to setup Windows 11 Home. However, when the laptop booted, it didn’t ask for a network and it happily setup a local account instead of attempting to use my online account.

I like that it has a USB-C style power connection. That means it’s compatible with pretty much any other USB-C laptop power supply with the correct wattage rating.

A lot of recent laptops are missing the SD Card slot. Not this one. That’s awesome because I have a ton of pictures and other data on SD Cards.

The touch pad is rather sensitive and doesn’t have individual mouse buttons. As people get used to using such touch pads, that probably wont be a problem. But I’m not used to this type of touch pad, so I’ve had to connect an external mouse.

The SSD seems rather fast and has plenty of capacity.

The screen looks clear and bright. It’s a comfortable size too.

The laptop is rather thin and weigh very little. It’s easy to carry, or stash in your backpack.

I’ve been using the ACEMAGIC AX18 for a little while now, and it’s been performing really well. The 18.5” screen is big and sharp—great for watching videos, working, and multitasking. It boots up quickly, handles multiple tabs and apps with no lag, and the keyboard is comfortable to type on. The design looks clean and modern. It’s a great everyday laptop for work, study, or media.

What a POS! They sent the wrong manual for it, the touchpad works sometimes, mostly not, I can’t plug two different styles of headphones into it, and the speakers are like something you might find in a ten cent toy. I’d give it a zero if I could.

I bought this laptop as a dedicated machine for my home office, and it’s working out perfectly. The 18.5″ screen is exactly what I was looking for—it’s so much easier to get work done when you’re not squinting at a tiny screen.
